The principal and entire staff make CAW special. They are caring and committed to the students. They foster a nurturing and respectful environment. They encourage students to do their best academically, be kind to others, and help the less fortunate.
The faculty and staff are amazing! Their relatable, warm, and friendly attitude make the environment feel like a family, not just a school. Communication to the parents is top notch! I never feel like I’m missing out on anything. We couldn’t be happier at Catholic Academy.

What I like most about Catholic Academy of Waterbury besides the faith is the organization of the staff. It is a great group of teachers and other staff that work really hard to provide a great education for our children. They are very supportive and are open to any suggestions parents offer to help students and their families whenever possible. I've seen my kids’ teachers go above and beyond to help them succeed. I'm glad to give my kids an education at CAW.
What I love most about Catholic Academy of Waterbury are its teachers and principal, Mrs. C. The teachers truly have a genuine love and concern for their students and provide a personal touch that is so important to young people. Mrs. Chodkowski is also very approachable and is always there to help support parents in whatever way she can.
I love how the teachers and students there care for each other and how the school cares about students and their learning.
We love Catholic Academy for that close knit religious family feeling. Everyone is always so friendly and welcoming...and the academic program is excellent.
CAW is a unique school in that the children have a family away from home in the learning environment. Each and every person they have contact with, each teacher in the school, secretary, nurse, principal...knows each and every child by name and watches out for them throughout their day. They don't just teach an amazing STREAM education but they monitor each child's involvement to be sure that they are engaged in the learning process. These children truly love the learning experience and their teachers. This is what makes CAW so special, and as my son graduates this year, we are truly sorry to leave.
I chose to send my child to CAW not just for academic reasons, but for the faith based atmosphere.
What I love the most most about the Catholic Academy experience is the genuine care that teachers and staff have about my child and all other children at the school. He is treated with love, compassion, and his teachers are dedicated to see him succeed academically, socially, and spiritually. I see the love of God to him through his teachers and staff every day. The school also provides a sense of community and unity I have not seen at any other school before.
